Each book was junk. Diets, struggling marriage, and self help books which were all marked up and stained.There are a few I woukd probably read and a few that just aren't up my alley. I selected the black stack, and all of the bindings are black with gold lettering, but one of the actual covers is yellow. There is some that have insignia or marks. These are used books.I got this set because I wanted to use them as a backdrop for a long shelf that I didn't need anything in back since I just used it for my pencil/clip desk holder, but I wanted something behind it that would stop it from sliding to the back. I thought, oh some black and gold books will look neat and smart in the back. I love reading, but I buy for story, not aesthetic.These are all nice hardcovers and well worth the price!! I love surprise random boxes anyway, but I wasn't expecting a Star Wars novel, so I'm really happy to get a copy and be able to pick it up to read if I want. I already have a really long 'To-read' list but its nice to know that IF I get to the end of it, its nice to know that the new decor will offer me up new stories that I haven't been exposed to before.All bright red lettering on the spine, which is an eye soar if the look titles are not ones I want peoples’ attention to gravitate toward immediately as the end the room. Only bindings on some were actually white. I received a blue and red book. One of the all white knolls had yellow pages, which looked bad in combination with the other with white pages (couldn’t turn around due to the bright red letters.) in total I could use 2 of the books as intended.
